Our client is a superb business in Leeds, looking to recruit a FMCG Category Executive to provide retail insight to a specific key customer.
Working within a team, with the support of the Senior Manager, you will work to identify category opportunities utilisingvarying forms of consumer and marketing insight data.
This role would suit a Business Graduate or similar, ideally with some experience of working within an FMCG or similar environment.
You will have a strong analytical ability, a confident user of MicrosoftExcel with good commercial understanding.You will receive superb benefits and work within a close and inclusive company culture with this role, including 27 days holiday + BH, 6% pension contribution, hybrid working structure, private healthcare, free onsite parking as well as monthly team socialactivities
Duties and Responsibilities of the FMCG Category Executive:
- Working with the aim of delivering key category insight to retailers, working with data received from IRI, Kantar and similar external resources to initiate category plans.
- Working with other areas within the business such as sales and marketing to develop insight.
- Attending retailer meetings to present your findings and leading in certain areas of the presentation.
- Looking at areas such as merchandising and category segments, using consumer insight to make recommendations or provide customer feedback.
- Looking at areas of improvement within Categories, such as range reviews etc. providing continued feedback to retailers along with recommendations.
- Working with team objectives, ensuring your contribution is recognised.
- Working internally with Account Managers to ensure they are fully informed of information captured for their clients.
- You will also be involved with monthly reporting for presentations, following analysis of market data, involved with assessing key trends, issues and opportunities.
Skills and Experience requiredfor the FMCG Category Executive:
- You will ideally have some experience of working with data analysis and interpretation.
- Ideally you will have worked within FMCG, perhaps on an internship or University placement year or experience working with retail within a similar role.
- A focused and highly motivated individual who is very keen to progress and focus on personal development within a progressive business.
- Excellent work ethic and customer values.
- Excellent IT skills including very strong Excel skills.
