Based at our manufacturing site in Milton Keynes, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleanliness across the factory.

Location: Milton Keynes

Hours: Monday – Friday, 39 hours.

Salary: £45,000 per annum.

Your Duties Will Include:

  • Responsible for maintaining and updating the sites hygiene manual including cleaning work instructions for all hygiene tasks around the factory, cleaning schedules and training records.
  • Assist in the management of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) documentations (Health & Safety)
  • Responsible for all 'people management aspects' of the team including training and development
  • Involvement in accident investigations to prevent re-occurrence
  • Assist Technical team including providing technical information as required by both internal and external customers
  • Management of the Consumables stocks (High Care PPE & Consumables)
  • Involvement in preparing for BRC and other audits
  • Involvement of continuous improvement project work in relation to site hygiene and safe systems of work
  • Carry out inspection sign offs following completion of process equipment cleaning/ engineering maintenance

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 &3 Food Safety and Hygiene
  • HACCP Level 2
  • HACCP Level 3 (desirable)
  • IOSH in Health & Safety principles (desirable)

Experience:

  • Experience in a similar type of role in food manufacturing industry
  • Previous people management experience (supervisory role)

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to demonstrate and describe procedures effectively
  • Successfully build and manage a team as well as motivate staff
  • Self-motivated with a hands-on approach
  • Good communication skills with professional and positive attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, coaching and negotiating skills
  • Knowledge of food legislation and food safety principle essentials
  • Understanding of microbiology testing procedures (desirable)
  • Knowledge of BRC standards and quality management systems (desirable)
