St Helen's is an academically selective independent girls' day school of more than 1200 students aged 3-18, set in beautiful green space in Northwood, Middlesex.

St Helen's is looking to appoint a permanent, full time, IT Service Manager to start with immediate effect. The role is based onsite and reports directly to the IT Director. Candidates are required to work throughout the year.

THE POST and MAIN PURPOSE

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT professional to join our IT team of 8 and manage the school Service Desk and related services as an IT Service Manager.

If you are passionate about making a difference in a dynamic, and modern technological environment and possess the skills to develop and drive the IT Service delivery and projects, we encourage you to apply and contribute to our continued success.

You will be experienced in managing Service Desk platforms and delivering the IT Provisions on a Day to Day. Experience in ITIL and Incident Management is required as is the ability to interpret data, identify potential issues and patterns and present this in a way that facilitates effective actions, decision making and change.

You are likely to have worked in a similar IT field and manage services for a medium size organisation. School experience is not a requirement, as long as you have been working with "continuous improvement" practices.

The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of technical skills in a hands-on capacity, will be educated with a relevant IT disciplined degree and will be having exceptional soft skills that are crucial for this role such as: Synthetization and analytical skills, Business Process and workflow design skills, advanced communications and supreme organisation skills and would have likely practiced working within the 12 Agile Principles Modus Operandi.

THE SELECTION PROCESS

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the school where they will be interviewed and technically assessed by the IT Director. They will also tour the school and meet the wider IT Team.
