Claret Civil Engineering Ltd is a medium sized business in Bury St. Edmunds which operates across a range of sectors including clean water, water recycling, pipeline, industrial and major infrastructure projects.

Building on our experienced multidisciplinary team, we offer turnkey Civil Engineering and construction solutions from pre-project feasibility studies to complete Civil Engineering and construction solutions, inclusive of all aspects of project and health and safety management.


This role will be working within the Anglian Water Integrated Maintenance and Repair Water Recycling Alliance comprising of Anglian Water, Clancy, Claret Civil Engineering, Public Sewer Services and Danaher & Walsh, the IMR WRA manages planned and emergency sewer, rising mains and SMART technology installation as well as maintenance and repair across the region.

To ensure our Engineering teams are capably supported in delivering planned work to infrastructure assets, we are looking for a number of Enablers across the region to join the team

Key responsibilities:

Solving problems:
Attend site to investigate problems and initiate responses ensuring appropriate follow
- on activities take place to resolves issues in a timely and safe manner

Commercial:
Attend and lead regular planning meetings including commercial validation ensuring corporate systems are updated correctly to aid data-driven decisions and analysis to be made

Planning, enabling and customer liaison:
Lead on solving customer issues by liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Health & Safety:
Comply with all corporate standards with regard to Health and Safety and carry out safety audits and report findings in corporate systems

Outputs and data capture:
Accurately capture commercial and efficiency data for projects under your jurisdiction and ensure correctly added to corporate systems to provide project updates and visibility

Qualifications and experience needed:

  • Education to GCSE, ONC or equivalent
  • Appropriate professional engineering qualification (ideally Eng.
Tech or equivalent)

  • Contract management skills
  • Capital budget management skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong cost and risk based analysis skills
  • Basic understanding of the regulatory process that govern AW's capital investment strategy
