Technical Support/Network Engineer for our Birmingham location, initially for a limited period of one year with the option of a permanent contract.

Your tasks:

  • Act as a point of contact for customer service colleagues for technical related issues
  • Provide or assist in OTN solutions in accordance with the customer needs
  • Assist or troubleshoot layer 2/layer 3 configurations
  • Creating a monthly report that consists of all the product/technical issues that has been solved or escalated

Our requirements:

  • Experience in Telecommunication
  • Understanding of networking technologies and principles / understanding and experience of IT networking ( TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, Switches, Routers, PoE, Fibre optic networks, Client Server)
  • Ability to identify technical problems and identify solutions
  • Outstanding English communication skills and Customer Service skills
  • Networking certificates are a plus (CCNA, CCNP, etc)
