Commercial Lead

10 months

Hybrid position, based in London (2 days a week)

£600 per day, Inside IR35

This government body is looking for a Commercial Lead to support them on a new stabilisation programme.

You'll provide:

  • Commercial and contractual advice and assurance to the Programme Team on the procurement of services.
  • Ensure that the government body's policy, practice, and frameworks are followed and complied with.
  • Lead the procurement of all Digital and Technology commercial services required to support the objectives of the Stabilisation Programme and provide contract management as required.
  • Draw up commercial and contractual documentation and take ownership of the content, in consultation with inputters, reviewers, assurers, and approvers.
  • Direct the selection of any Third-Party Suppliers, ensuring all protocols and practices are adhered to.
  • Ensure Value for Money and savings are achieved in procurement projects.
  • Experience in Senior Stakeholder engagement; work closely with and build relationships, and provide commercial advice and guidance to senior programme stakeholders.
  • Support commercial colleagues in the government body.

Essential

  • Extensive commercial experience working in public sector procurement and leading Commercial IT projects and programmes.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience working with frameworks.
  • Strong Senior Stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experienced risk management skills.

Desirable

  • MCIPS or equivalent.
