Commercial Lead Position in London - Hybrid Work Model

About the Company: Join our team working with a central government client in a commercial lead role based in London

  • Lead development of sub-category strategies through the category management cycle.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and drive governance internally and externally.
  • Implement opportunities in DDaT Category Forward Plans, engaging stakeholders and managing dependencies.
  • Develop category expertise to drive supply chain trends and strategies for optimal procurement outcomes.
  • Deliver complex procurements by ensuring high-quality commercial arrangements.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver annually agreed savings target for DDaT category portfolio.
  • Provide leadership to a small team of commercial specialists.
  • Manage supplier performance and relationships.
  • Develop stakeholder engagement plans for effective business partnering.
  • Contribute to the development of Concept Notes, Business Cases & Sourcing Strategies.

Requirements:

  • Resilience to manage multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive approach and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience in developing and implementing category strategies.
  • Strong commercial acumen with knowledge of procurement regulations.
  • Experience in the technology sector and full commercial lifecycle.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Public sector experience.
  • Internationally sourcing expertise.
  • Good communication skills and team player attitude.
