Business Development Manager

North West (Hybrid/Remote)

Do you have experience of selling road transport solutions? If you have had enough of being micromanaged and want to focus on winning new business, this could be an ideal opportunity for you.

Covering the North West of England, this role offers the ability to plan your day accordingly whilst on the road visiting prospective and active clients. If you're someone who enjoys forming and building new relationships and have experience in Road Transport, you will excel in this role.

As a confident Salesperson you will be comfortable in managing your own diary, pipeline and ensure you are liaising with both the Customer & transport teams when required. Previous experience in GB To Ireland movements would be beneficial but not required.

Working with an award-winning business that has been established for 30+ years you will have a fantastic brand, reputation and service to sell.

What you will be doing:

  • Mapping your market in the North West of England
  • Growing and maintaining a sales pipeline.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to deliver smooth implementation of new business.
  • Manging and updating the sales pipeline and its implications on budgets / forecasts.
  • Develop & utilise sales leads via phone, email & face to face visits.
  • Monitor market conditions and development potential.

What you will need:

  • Direct sales experience within Logistics. Both in terms of new businessdevelopment and account management.
  • Competency in Microsoft office, sales lead tools and CRM system.
  • Understanding of Sales cycle process & the method of "selling a solution".
  • Experience in sellingLogistics/Supply Chain/Freight solutions
