About Our Client:
Leading organisation in Scotland.
- Assist with the management of the sales and purchase ledger accounting transactions including processing as necessary.
- Assist with the reconciliation of the sales and purchase ledgers and overseeing month end and year end accounting adjustments.
- Oversee creation and maintenance of supplier and customer accounts including supplier and customer relationships.
- Undertake supplier statement reconciliations.
- Management of key Accounts Payable balance sheet accounts
- Assist in managing and processing of all credit card transactions ensuring adherence to policy.
- Prepare journals, prepayments, accruals and reallocations for month end and year end processes.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations around invoice/payment authorisation ensuring all payments are made in accordance with policy.
- Assist in the preparation and scheduling of all payment runs in line with agreed payment dates, including the processing of all foreign payments.
- Assist with external and internal audit preparations and dealing with audit queries
- Perform intercompany transfers and carry out reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyse balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring aged items are investigated and resolved.
- Responsibility for reviewing discrepancies with key interfaces into the financial system.
The Successful Applicant:
- Sound knowledge, management and practical experience of finance systems.
- Previous experience working in a finance role including preparation of accruals and prepayments as well as experience in preparing and analysing account reconciliations
- Professional, committed and organised approach to work with a drive for results and a customer service focus.
