About the Role

Gallagher - Global is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our Latin American (LATAM) Accounting team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of our global systems and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the LATAM Accounts Payable Manager in the implementation of our global systems, ensuring compliance with documented procedures and controls.
  • Review and validate monthly invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Oversee the compliance validations of current and new vendors, ensuring adherence to our risk management and compliance standards.
  • Support the implementation of new accounts payable tools and processes, working closely with regional teams, tax, and accounting.
  • Collaborate with local teams, IT, and other functions to ensure seamless integration and effective communication.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as allocated by the Accounts Payable Manager, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Requirements
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced accounts payable or accounts receivable function, with a strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding expectations.
  • Eligible to work in the UK, with a valid work permit or visa.
