The Job Title: Temporary Credit Controller at Aster Group

We are thrilled to offer you the opportunity to join our Finance operations team as a Temporary Credit Controller at Aster Group. This role involves making a positive impact in enhancing the services provided by actively contributing to their development and improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and chasing all Care debt according to the Aster Dunning process.
  • Analyzing overdue debt and taking necessary action.
  • Accurately allocating payments to invoices.
  • Identifying different customer types and tailoring approaches accordingly.
  • Negotiating payment plans and ensuring compliance.
  • Generating a monthly aged creditor report for stakeholders.
  • Having regular meetings with Head of Financial Operations to monitor debt reduction.
  • Collaborating with Debt collection agencies.

Additional responsibilities include analyzing the aged creditors report, performing month-end reconciliations, and presenting business information derived from the systems.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a GCSE level education with grade C/level 5 passes in both English and Maths. While a financial qualification would be beneficial, it is not mandatory. Prior experience in a busy Credit Control team with familiarity in computerized accounts systems is preferred. Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite is essential.

Effective communication skills are vital for establishing relationships across the business for collaborative work. The role demands working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, a heavy workload, and paying attention to detail. The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group is crucial.
