Our client, a highly reputable law firm in the South-West of England, is seeking a skilled Agricultural Lawyer to join their dynamic and hard-working team.

As an Agricultural Lawyer, you'll be managing a diverse caseload including farm sales and purchases,farm refinancing, agricultural tenancies, and projects related to the "Carbon Zero" Agenda.


This is what you'll be doing
As an Agricultural Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing your own cases and clients in areas such as:

  • Farm and estate sales and purchases
  • Agricultural mortgages
  • Renewable energy projects
  • Farm succession planning.
You will provide clear and accurate advice to clients through both telephone and written communication.

You will also assist other fee-earners in providing advice to clients and seek opportunities for new referrals.


There is an expectation to maintain good client relationships, build strong working relationships with colleagues, ensure timely service delivery, and comply with professional standards set by the SRA.

You will take responsibility for your own billing and credit control and continuously develop your professional competencies.

This is what you'll bring to the Team


You will need to be able to demonstrate experience of working within an Agricultural team or commercial property with an interest in rural matters.


Vital to this role is the ability to develop positive relationships with clients managing client expectations with empathy on rural business and planning matters.

You will have experience of managing your own caseload while mentoring others.

It is key that you can show examples of meeting deadlines and manage your own time effectively.

You will be confident at marketing, networking and have excellent business development skills commensurate with the role.
