We have an exciting opportunity working in the Boots Opticians Central Operations Team to help shape and deliver the store workload activity plan.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract role, which will work cross-functionally with all support office, field and store teams to ensure store activity is planned, communicated and completed in store.


About the role


Reporting into the Business & Workload Planning Manager, our job is to act as the gatekeeper of store activity, ensuring workload is carefully planned and communicated to stores in the right way and at the right time.


  • Maintaining an uptodate activity plan, working closely with stakeholders to ensure activity is captured in a timely and accurate manner
  • Leading biweekly meetings to share and discuss new requests and changes to the plan
Acting as the voice for stores, ensuring store capacity is not exceeded and calling out workload concerns

  • Producing effective and engaging comms to store teams with clear context and guidance, including the monthly store activity pack (What's In Store Pack)
  • Maintaining the store and people database within our digital task management platform (MyHub/Yoobic)
  • Publishing clear store workload comms to store teams through the MyHub/Yoobic platform
  • Providing helpdesk support and account management to store and field teams

What you'll need to have

  • Ability to build strong crossfunctional relationships with various teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent planning skills and ability to manage own workload
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work at pace
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience of working in Boots Opticians store
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Written communications and content creation skills

Hybrid Working


We currently operate a fixed hybrid working approach for Support Office team members with a mix of remote and office-based working.

Our set office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with team members able to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
