This is an exciting and varied post that represents a key role in the delivery of the University of Cumbria's student recruitment and outreach activity.

We are looking for a pro-active and confident individual who has the ability to inspire and support prospective students, from a variety of backgrounds, to progress into Higher Education (HE).

You should be educated to degree level with a good knowledge of Higher Education.

You should be committed to equal opportunities, widening participation (WP) and be able to communicate effectively to a wide of range people at varying levels.

You will be organised, pro-active and have the proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team focussed environment. Previous experience of delivering student recruitment activities, marketing or educational guidance would be an advantage and is preferred.


Significant travel will be expected of the post holder to deliver outreach activities and interventions and to support activities of the wider recruitment team, such as UCAS fairs, Open Days and Offer Holder events.

In maintaining this workload, the post holder will be required to be flexible with working patterns, with some overnight trips required and will often be required to work between our campuses and in various Schools and Colleges.
