**Lead Animator**
As the Lead Animator at Lighthouse Games, you'll be the go-to guru for all things animation.
You'll nurture your team, fostering an environment where everyone can soar to new heights.
You'll guide a team of animation enthusiasts, sharing your wisdom and technical prowess to
cultivate a spirited atmosphere within the team and throughout the studio.
You'll establish the animation gold standard at the studio and uphold it through your own work
and guidance across the division.
  • Grow, nurture, and champion an elite animation department
  • Collaborate with teams studio-wide on animation-related matters
  • Mentor and offer feedback to the animation crew
  • Set targets and oversee the evolution of the animation team
  • Provide constructive input throughout the animation sector
  • Create and integrate animation assets for the game
  • Document and manage the animation pipeline
  • Explore and propose new solutions to animation challenges
  • Partner with art leadership to maintain top-tier animation quality
  • Collaborate with production on scoping and executing animation tasks

**Requirements**
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in the industry
  • A stellar portfolio/demo reel showcasing character animation samples
  • Proficiency in Maya, MotionBuilder, or other industry-standard animation tools
  • Background in scoping and planning effective animation pipelines
  • Demonstrated expertise in mentoring and expanding an animation department
  • Proven track record in motion capture, keyframe, and procedural animation techniques
  • Knowledge of facial animation and state machines
  • Passion for video games and insight into current animation trends
  • Strong communication skills embodying positivity and approachability


**Desirable**
  • Prior leadership experience in an animation department
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine
  • Background in open-world games
  • Enthusiasm for video game animation
