Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a high-performing animation team, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments.
  • Set and maintain high standards for animation quality, driving innovation and excellence in character animation.
  • Mentor and guide team members, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills and growth.
  • Collaborate with art leadership to ensure alignment with studio goals and vision.
  • Work closely with production to scope and implement animation work, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in character animation.
  • Excellent portfolio/demo reel showcasing expertise in character animation.
  • Proficient in industry-standard animation software, such as Maya or MotionBuilder.
  • Experience in scoping and planning successful animation pipelines.
  • Proven track record of mentoring and growing animation teams.
  • Strong understanding of facial animation, motion capture, and keyframe animation techniques.
  • Experience with state machines and passion for video game animation.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience leading an animation department.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine and open-world games.
  • Passion for video game animation and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
