Exciting Opportunity for a Financial Controller at a Well-Established Business in North-Kent

This role at the company is an excellent chance for someone experienced in financial control to advance their career under the direct report of the Managing Director.

Duties Include:

  • Preparing P&L statements and monthly closing and accounting reports
  • Compiling and analyzing financial information for account entries
  • Establishing, maintaining, and coordinating accounting procedures
  • Monitoring and reviewing system reports for accuracy
  • Analyzing reporting info for budget, revenue, expenses, payroll, cost, and variances
  • Resolving accounting discrepancies
  • Developing and maintaining financial databases and accounts software systems
  • Supervising financial data input and handling
  • Interacting with internal and external audits
  • Developing the annual operating budget
  • Managing accounting policy orientation
  • Supervising finance staff and providing necessary training
  • Compiling weekly KPIs
  • Controlling cashflow short and long term
  • Selecting and authorizing AP payments in line with cashflow
  • Compiling and reconciling VAT returns
  • Handling Payroll duties

Requirements for Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in similar position
  • Qualified, minimum AAT
  • Excellent understanding of General Accounting Principles
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to take on any task
