As a Kitchen Porter it is your role to keep the kitchen a hygienic and safe working environment.

You will have daily and weekly cleaning duties to follow, and you will be responsible for the set up and shut down of the kitchen.

You will take delivery of food items and ensure they are stored correctly and assist the kitchen team in the basic preparation of some ingredients.

The Iconic Ubiquitous Chip, established in 1971 was born from a love for food and drink.

With two restaurants (the fine dining courtyard and the upstairs brasserie), three bars and a roof terrace, our guests enjoy a unique & enjoyable hospitality experience.


  • To prepare the kitchen for the arrival of chefs
  • Thoroughly cleaning down designated areas of the kitchen at the end of the working day
  • To ensure crockery and cooking utensils are cleaned and properly stored throughout the day
  • Preparation of some ingredients
  • Accept kitchen deliveries, putting food and nonfood items away as directed, ensuring stock is correctly rotated and labelled if necessary
  • Help to minimise food wastage
  • Follow correct daily setup and cleandown procedures


You will have proven commercial kitchen experience with strong organisational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

You must also be able to work under your own supervision and take responsibility for your work area whilst also working as part of a team.


Salary:
£10.00

A share of weekly cash tips and monthly credit card tips on top

Full and Part-time available. Regular weekend working is required and the ability to attend a mix of shift patterns (either 8am-4pm or 4pm-12pm)

Full time hours: 40 Hours per week, 5 days out of 7

Part time hours:
From 16 hours per week (minimum 2 days)
