About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and authentic Kitchen Porter to join our team at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing exceptional service to our guests, and contributing to the overall success of our hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing and sanitizing equipment, and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Support the kitchen team in providing exceptional service to our guests, including taking orders, serving food and beverages, and handling customer complaints.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge in food preparation, presentation, and service.
Requirements
  • Availability to work 16 hours per week across 2 shifts, including weekends.
  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a related role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
