Join us as a Climate & Environment Reporting Manager

What you'll do

As a Climate & Environment Reporting Manager, you'll be helping to advise, inform and support relevant parts of the bank and manage third party partnerships to develop a sector leading environment strategy through supporting the delivery of climate purposecommitments.

We'll look to you to gather knowledge and research on environmental issues and how they affect customers and the bank, while making sure that internal teams understand the standard needed and options to meet this.

As well as this, you'll be providing your expertise to our franchises and functions and supporting the engagement with internal and external stakeholders around environmental issues to help demonstrate thought leadership and proactive engagement.


Your other key responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to produce advice and information to help frontline teams and governance forums make the right decisions about environmental issues
  • Identifying and driving innovation opportunities related to current and emerging environmental issues and trends
  • Proactively working with our franchises and functions to consider the risks and opportunities presented by environmental issues and trends
  • Developing and managing third party relationships in relation to environmental policy, climate and sustainability
  • Driving initiatives to actively engage a wide range of internal and external influencers and stakeholder groups on the environmental agenda and policy

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with good knowledge of and an interest in environmental sustainability issues, including climate change and how they relate to business and banking.

You should also have experience of leading or supporting innovative stakeholder engagementinitiatives and communications for both internal and external audiences.

Along with supplier and relationship management experience, you'll have experience of engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including sustainability networks and key sustainability influencers.


In addition, you'll demonstrate:

  • Experience of dealing with technical and complex information, reports and data and the ability to distil information succinctly
  • Carbon reporting experience
  • An understanding of the financial services industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management and budget management skills
