We have a fantastic opportunity for a HSE Advisor to join our HSEQ team to be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of the health, safety and environment management system which is compliant to legal and internationally recognised standards.

The role will involve:


Assisting operational and project teams with a range of HSE advice and supportnDeveloping, improving, and maintaining the HSE Management System across the businessnPromoting good HSE practices throughout the business by educating people and supporting managers, whilst embedding a culture of pro-active risk management and health and safety throughoutnDeveloping trusted working relationships with key stakeholders is essential, as is improving the safety culture throughout all aspects of the businessnAttending and actively participating in risk assessments to identify, communicate, and reduce risknTo provide, or where necessary source, training for staff in relation to HSEnConducting internal HSE audits and participating in external auditsnMonitor safety daily through past and projected indicators and keep company managers, supervisors and workforce informednArrange and maintain HSE notices as appropriate throughout the premisesnComplete client HSE questionnaires and support client audits.


What we are looking for:
With a background of providing HSE support and guidance ideally within an industrial, manufacturing, or other high-risk environment our successful candidate will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Occupational health and safety and/or environmental qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Certificate, IEMA Certificate)nFull Driving Licence as this role will require travel to AMP sites across the UKnDemonstrable experience in HSE on an industrial, manufacturing, or other high-risk environmentsnExtensive knowledge of health, safety and/or environmental legislation and a sound understanding of the HSE ISO standards e.g.

ISO 45001, ISO 14001nConducting HSE audits and inspectionsnDemonstratable experience in leading on HSE improvement projectsnAbility to use a wide range of techniques to influence change at all levels of the organisation and will possess a well-structured, systematic approach with the ability to identify and analyse complex technical issues and understand risks to provide appropriate solutionsnExperience using HSEQ Management software i.e.

Intelex, i-Auditor, SynerginProficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)nAbility to demonstrate professional internal and external stakeholder management skills to drive cross business collaboration to build a high performing, commercially and customer focused safety culturenExperience of delivering HSE training and initiatives (remotely or in person)nExcellent communicator with a natural ability for building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersnAbility to be pragmatic, flexible and display a people centred approach

Covering sites across the Midlands, Stowmarket, Hull, BerwicknCompetitive salary to be discussed at interviewnHours of work: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.

30am – 5pm (30 minutes unpaid lunch)nHybrid working 2 days from home, 3 days site based at either Stowmarket or Berwick upon Tweed depending on home basen

Contract Type:
PermanentnFull Driving Licence and access to own vehicle is essential as this role will require regular travel to AMP sites across the UK
