ABOUT US


This is an opportunity to be part of the ambitious and friendly team at a new independent restaurant entering its second year of operation.


Our Tuscan-influenced restaurant, Doppo, received some of the highest reviews of 2023 and ended the year with ratings of 4.8 on both Google and OpenTable.


Our location in the middle of Soho is unparalleled and our beautiful Georgian townhouse accommodates around 40 covers, a small enough number that we pay real attention to our guests, yet big enough that we always have a buzzy atmosphere.


We have an unusually strong focus on the quality and provenance of our ingredients, using the very best premium suppliers across the board, as well as developing direct relationships with farmers and growers.


Our other great passion is wine; with over 500 references, our list is already acknowledged as one of the strongest in the UK with many wines not found elsewhere.


ABOUT THE ROLE


You will have the opportunity to work with an ambitious team, most of whom are alumni of 2/3 star Michelin restaurants and leading private member clubs.

You will be the principal waiter/ess in the downstairs section of the restaurant.

You will be responsible for this section in particular, and greeting guests more widely, and acting as a face of the restaurant.

We pride ourselves on giving guests personal and exceptional service.

In our first year, we have been one of the most highly rated restaurants in London for exceptional service, including winner of OpenTable's Diner's Choice "Best Service" in central London award.


You will be working closely with the wider restaurant and bar teams to deliver impeccable service and to ensure our guests have memorable experiences dining at Doppo.

Your duties include taking food orders, providing excellent dining experiences, ensuring seamless service and managing guest concerns.

YOU ARE
Hard-working, professional and dedicated and strive to deliver superior level of customer service that we are known for.

An interest in Italian food and wine would be an advantage as would experience in similar fine dining and independent restaurants or private member clubs.


We are a small team:

there aren't any "no go areas"; you should prefer working in smaller teams as opposed to rigid, larger structures.

You should enjoy engaging with guests and colleagues alike.


You will need strong organisational skills to manage your mis-en-place, preparing for service in a busy central London location, and balancing guest and business requirements throughout the service.
