About the Position:

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty is in search of two experienced Senior Packaging Designers to join our highly efficient in-house team. We are looking for individuals with substantial background in a similar role, preferably within the beauty sector, and considerable exposure to branding, packaging, and print materials. As a conceptual designer, you should possess a keen eye for typography and a deep understanding of Adobe CC Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

The available positions include one specializing in 2D design and the other in 3D design. Therefore, proficiency in either of these domains is essential, and familiarity with designing accessories or makeup bags would be advantageous.

You should also be a skilled illustrator capable of sketching ideas and transforming them into packaging designs. Your role will involve interpreting briefs, maintaining exceptional organization, and overseeing projects from inception to conclusion. You will contribute to crafting innovative concepts and design ideas for primary and secondary packaging projects, in addition to finalizing certain technical artworks. A strong background in print is crucial, along with the ability to present concepts confidently while staying up-to-date with prevailing beauty and fashion trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate design concepts and develop ideas for all projects
  • Independently manage projects from start to finish
  • Present design progress and concepts to the Design Director
  • Collaborate directly with cross-functional teams
  • Convey production needs and requirements to Artworkers and Packaging Managers
  • Coordinate with the copy team regarding copy directions
  • Enhance design and strategic capabilities consistently

Additional Duties:

  • Participate in design reviews and production meetings
  • Approve critical color and design elements of packaging
  • Stay informed about current art, design, and fashion trends
  • Engage in one-on-one meetings and keep the manager updated
  • Be a trustworthy and accountable team member
  • Set a positive example for colleagues and junior team members
  • Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Skilled in 2D or 3D Rendering
  • Hold a Graphic Design qualification or equivalent, with prior design experience
  • Any experience in designing accessories or makeup bags is a bonus
  • A highly creative designer with significant experience
  • Strong typography, design, and illustration capabilities
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
