This is a rare, and much sought after opportunity to contribute to the delivery of this novel service.

HDFT and Active Against Cancer are seeking to appoint an experienced Physical Trainer in Oncology to assist in the assessment and review of patients living with and beyond cancer in and around the Harrogate & Ripon area.

You will also work independently to plan and deliver exercise sessions, drawing on the patient knowledge of service leads where appropriate.


The post holder will have significant experience as a cancer specialist physical trainer helping and supporting adults affected by cancer and other long term conditions.

The post holder will complete individual assessment and review of patients who are entering or actively using the AAC service, reviewing existing users and assist in the delivery of safe exercise prescription, following appropriate training and approved competence.


Salary information:
Band 5 for Assessment Clinics at the hourly rate. Band 4 for exercise sessions delivered (Based on 1hr 40mins pay per 45min exercise session delivered)
