Job summary

Knockin Medical Centre is offering a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Practice Manager to lead our small, friendly team.

You will demonstrate a passionate approach in leading the Practice forward and managing the day to day smooth running of the Practice, working alongside the Partners and supported by an excellent clinical and administrative team.

We pride ourselves on the providing the very best care for our patients and are looking for someone with similar enthusiasm and passion for delivering a high quality service.

We are offering 16-24 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

The Practice Manager is a key member of the team and is expected to oversee the delivery of patient care, operational management of the practice with the ability to achieve goals and targets using a combination of personal involvement, staff motivation and delegation as appropriate.

You must proactively plan for the future, maximising the Practices potential in relation to business and finance opportunities, whilst maintaining patient care and involving all stake holders.

The candidate needs to ensure the partners are kept fully informed of local and national proposals and initiatives to enable them to make informed decisions.

The role will include but is not limited to, leadership, project management, human resources management supported by external agency, development and management of service delivery, financial planning, contract delivery and performance and staff training and development.

You will develop and maintain relationships with outside agencies, other local GP Practices, the ICB and the Shropshire Rural Alliance Primary Care Network (SRA PCN).

About us

Knockin Medical Centre is a traditional GP Practice with just over 4000 patients and is housed in apartner owned building.

The practice is in Knockin, Oswestry which is situatedin the beautiful county of Shropshire. Knockin has a rapidly growingpopulation, with a lot of new housing.

The practice has a small, friendly team of staff consisting of 2 GPPartners, 1 Salaried GP, 2 Nursing staff, 1 Healthcare Assistant, 5 Admin staffand 5 Dispensary staff. The Practice also is part of the Shropshire RuralAlliance Primary Care Network (SRA PCN) working together with 4 other rural GP Practices which has associated staff working at thepractice and currently being recruited.

The practice has GMS status, and its last Care QualityCommission rating was Good
