We are recruiting for an Team Administrator/Call Handler to join the West Assessment and Treatment Service based at Mill View Hospital, Hove and be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing full secretarial services.


You will be joining the team at an exciting time of development and expansion as we adapt and enhance our ways of working to meet the growing needs of the Trust.

This is a varied role with lots of progression available to the right person. You will be joining a team of administration colleagues who are committed to delivering an effective administration service.


The role will be 22.5 hours per week Monday to Wednesday (not negotiable) and the successful applicant will be office based.

Working closely with Clinicians, key areas of focus in this role will be:
Providing a comprehensive, high quality secretarial service

  • Organising client appointments, updating calendars, booking interpreters as required
  • Booking in initial assessments
  • Minute taking
  • Dealing sensitively with people, both on the telephone and in person, taking accurate messages and relaying them to the appropriate people and/or taking follow up action as required using appropriate initiative
  • As well as undertaking other general administration duties


You will need to use your strong people skills, attention to detail and motivation to constantly improve the way we work.


The Assessment and Treatment Service provides a Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm service for people experiencing mental health difficulties in the community in partnership with a wide range of health services.

You will be allocated a buddy to work along side whilst you are learning the role.

We offer regular monthly supervision and an annual appraisal.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
In order to be a successful Team Administrator/Call Handler in our team you will require:

  • Knowledge of general admin procedures
  • Ability to multitask
  • Problemsolving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
