Based in Hove (hybrid role with 2 days a week home based), this established Motor Insurance provider requires a bright and enthusiastic Theft Claims Handler to join their busy and friendly team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent communicationskills and attention to detail who is looking develop their career in motor claims insurance towards a Fraud Investigator role.


Ideal applicants will have Motor Claims / FNOL based experience and this would suit someone looking to progress their career towards a Fraud Investigator direction.


The purpose of the role is to assess and handle a portfolio of theft motor claims as efficiently as possible ensuring the correct decisions are made.

You will be completing your own telephone interviews with Policyholders to determine if the incident maybe low or high risk, aiming to validate genuine incident claims as soon as possible whilst investigating those that are high risk further.


Duties

  • Processing theft claims in line with existing policies and procedures
  • Handle own allocation of first party claims investigations.
  • Conduct telephone interviews with Policyholders.
  • Control and manage own workflow
  • Carry out investigations from first detection through to repudiation, settlement and/or recovery stage.
  • Conduct research and investigative searches using closed and open source in order to develop intelligence and evidence.
  • Gather evidence from various sources including police reports, witness statements, medical reports where appropriate.
  • To work in a professional manner providing excellent customer service.
  • Report and log identified savings and other positive results.
  • Identify and report to the Fraud Operations Manager any potential case for submission to Law Enforcement.

Hours are 9.00am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday

3 days office based in Hove and 2 days a week based at home.
