**Overview**

This Hove based independent insurance broker supplies business solutions to the health and social care sectors. They have a strong focus on providing a highly personal service to clients. They have a very supportive culture and provide thorough training for all new joiners.

**The Role**

Principal Accountabilities
- Discuss new claim enquiries from clients, determine whether cover is in place and report to insurers on client's behalf.
- Handle existing claims and review previous ongoing claims for clients with a view to getting these finalised and settled.
- Ensure the in house software system is kept updated with all relevant information.
- Respond to general claims queries from clients and insurers
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, regular updates and obtain satisfactory feedback surveys on this basis
- Negotiate with insurers, loss adjusters, and other third parties to deliver the best outcome for our clients
- Develop relationships with insurers and relevant third parties
- Assist the team manager to collate and produce claims reports and statistics when required
- Liaise with internal account handlers and executives to gain in-depth understanding of clients.
- Ensure all statutory and company legislation is followed to protect clients, colleagues and business interest.

**The Person**
- Proven experience in managing relationships with customers, insurers and key stakeholders.
- Active and working knowledge of FCA compliance.
- Articulate and presentable with the ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
- Able to work co-operatively with other team members.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Capable of working on own initiative and managing own workload effectively
- Competent with Microsoft office suite, word, excel, outlook and databases.

**Terms**
- £22k-£26k FTE* (dependent on experience).
