Credit Control Customer Champion

The Role


This role is to be part of the evolving Legal Customer Service team with an indirect link to the Finance team, working with our customers in the Legal sector (local councils and solicitors).


Overall responsibility prompt payments, check levels of customer satisfaction, identify root cause queries and work closely with the case managers to resolve any dissatisfaction, swiftly resolving basic queries and handing over any customers to our credit control function after 60 days of non-payment.

You will consistently deliver high quality services, with a focus on responsiveness, organisation, efficiency and helpfulness.

Responsibilities

  • Call customers (generally social workers and solicitors), 710 days after the completion of a case, with further follow up calls, to review their experience of AlphaBiolabs, reporting any dissatisfaction to the Legal Case Managers and the Customer Services Team Leader for issue resolution activity to take place.
  • Make sure our customers receive invoices within 48 hours, accuracy and help facilitate customers with any invoice queries to enable them to pay invoices in a timely manner.
  • Resolve minor invoice queries (split invoicing, making small amendments, dealing with credit notes and reinvoicing where splits etc are incorrect) with any reported dissatisfaction or disputes being escalated to Customer Service Team Leader to prevent debt ageing.
  • Record activity on CRM with customers to enable proactive follow up.
  • Bring to the attention of the Customer Service Team Leader any accounts refusing to pay or facing financial difficulty for them to liaise with finance for the most suitable solution
  • Follow up customers over a defined period until 60 days overdue before case automatically migrates over to the Finance team for escalation
  • Regularly report issues, along with activity and performance, along with risks and issues, to managers.

Key Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate professionally and positively at all levels, professional telephone manner
  • Able to become conversant in complex processes very quickly.
  • Analytical skills to understand, investigate and resolve queries
  • Selfmotivated, proactive and ability to prioritise and manage workload and complete tasks effectively
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience of using Salesforce or other CRM system
  • Experience of using Sage Intacct is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, motivate and influence
  • Willing to undertake routine tasks
  • Able to use initiative but work well within a team
  • Shows flexibility in approach
