The Role
Education & Experience Requirements:
- A Ph.
Required Skills:
- Deep understanding of antibody structurefunction relationships, leading to innovation in the field as evidenced by publications and/or patents
- Experience in protein design, production and characterisation of antibodies, or antibodylike scaffolds, using _in silco_ tools, common expression systems (e.g. mammalian) and purification methods (e.g. Akta systems), and the ability to profile constructs (e.g. SPR)
- Strong handson experience in molecular biology methods and technologies e.g., PCR, RT-PCR, cloning (ligationdependent and independent methods), sitedirected mutagenesis, Sanger sequencing/analysis
- Ability to optimize protocols, troubleshoot, interpret experimental results/data and maintain accurate, high quality and uptodate experimental records
- Strong communication skills in a team environment and an ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies
- Experience with leading/coleading and/or handling research projects.
Desired Skills:
- Background in molecular biophysics
- Experience with single domain antibodies
- Background in drug discovery and development in the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience supervising Postdocs and/or placement students
