Some evening work will be required on a case-by-case basis to fit with the assertive outreach model.

The role will also involve record keeping and, with supervision from the AMASS CAMHS clinician, leading on implementing the team's programme of service evaluation.

Islington is a small, densely populated borough with a total resident child population of 40,000. The proportion of children from BME groups is 70%. Approximately 120 different languages are spoken in the homes of Islington children.

Islington has one of the highest proportions of children living in poverty nationally; it is ranked the eighth most deprived local authority in England.

Islington Community CAMHS is therefore dedicated to working with partner agencies at a strategic level and in practice to address the resulting mental health needs of the borough.

Whittington Health works hard to ensure that all our services are fair and equally accessible to everyone. Nowhere is this more obvious than in the way we look after our staff.

We aim to employ a workforce which is as representative as possible of this population, so we are open to the value of differences in age, disability, gender, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, race, sexual orientation, and religion or belief.

The Trust believes that as a public sector organisation we have an obligation to have recruitment, training, promotion and other formal employment policies and procedures that are sensitive to these differences.

We think that by doing so, we are better able to treat our patients as well as being a better place to work.

Please see job description and person specification for full details.
