About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Whittington Hospital NHS Trust. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the professional psychological care of clients within our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake protocol-based psychological assessments of clients referred to our service, working closely with Senior Therapists to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Assist in the coordination and running of Outreach groups, providing therapeutic interventions and support to clients.
  • Contribute to HTT business and clinical meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the team.
  • Develop skills and competencies to enhance the delivery of current duties, including training and supervision.
Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Upper second-class honours degree or higher in psychology.
    • 1 year of experience working with people with mental health problems or other disabilities.
  • Desirable:
    • Further postgraduate training in relevant areas of mental health practice or research design and analysis.
    • Experience of working as an Assistant Psychologist in NHS mental health services.
