Handy Person/ Interiors Installer/ Fitter

Hours of work: 3-5 days a week depending on applicant, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, with flexibility with working hours. Salary Pro Rata.

We are recruiting someone whose primary role will be to fit Curtains, Shutters and Blinds. The role is open to grow as we and the applicant feel suitable.

Our showroom is based in Kendal, we regularly cover the South Lakes and North Lancs, and further afield should the customer request.

Primarily we require someone for the installation of products.

There is the opportunity to expand the role to include advising, specifying and quoting in the customers home and the showroom.

Alternatively a seperate hiring may be made to accomodate these tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Installation of window dressings in customer's homes / business'.
  • Keep van and related tools stocked, clean & tidy
  • Prepare work load for following day ensuring you have all the relevant information and stock
.Liaise with our interior advisors for recommendations for customers, and technical requirements from measuring

  • Undertake basic admin, such as quoting blind & awning projects from your measures

Requirements:

Friendly and professional approach with excellent interpersonal skills. Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage a range of tasks enthusiasm and willingness

Full Clean British driving licence

Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as part of a small busy team

CSCS card working, working at heights would be an advantage but not essential

Basic health & safety knowledge.
Van, tools and insurance provided

Training
Depending on previous knowledge full product training will be given.
