Job Summary

The Fibre Underground Engineer will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of underground fibre optic networks, ensuring project targets are met and contributing to the success of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance
    • Perform underground fibre optic cable installations and maintenance across multiple sites.
    • Ensure all work complies with industry standards and company policies.
  • Site Operations
    • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project targets.
    • Adapt to varying site locations and conditions, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Health and Safety
    • Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
    • Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe working practices on all sites.
  • Equipment and Tools
    • Utilize appropriate tools and equipment for fibre installation and maintenance.
    • Perform routine checks and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Training and Development
    • Participate in training programs to gain necessary accreditations and enhance skills.
    • Stay updated on industry advancements and company procedures.
Requirements
  • Mandatory
    • Full UK drivers license and personal transport to access various site locations.
    • NRSWA - Signing, Lighting, and Guarding (SLG)
    • SA002
    • S007 or K8 & N28
    • SA006
  • Desirable
    • Previous experience in fibre optic installations and underground operations.
    • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to fibre installation.
