As a Customer Service Support Officer (Known as Technical Support Officer internally) at Alcumus, your role involves assisting the Audit Services team in conducting desktop assessments of customer accreditation documentation. You will provide technical support to customers via phone and email, ensuring a top-notch customer experience.


You will be working with our SafeContractor product, offering UKAS accredited contractor services to meet health and safety, equal opportunities, diversity, and environmental management requirements, all in one place.


Here's what you'll be doing on a daily basis:


  • Performing pre-audit checks on customer information to ensure it meets minimum standards before proceeding to a full audit.
  • Reviewing customer information to ensure all necessary details are provided.
  • Offering feedback to customers and collecting any missing information required for pre-audit checks.
  • Supporting customers in areas where improvement is needed to pass the audit successfully.
  • Providing health and safety advice and guidance (full training provided).

To excel in this role, you should have experience in customer service, administration, and attention to detail. Consistency in applying quality processes, identifying discrepancies, and communicating effectively with customers are essential. Being part of a collaborative team, good written English skills, and the ability to handle customer inquiries confidently are also crucial.
