Park Maintenance Supervisor
The Role
As the Park Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintenance of all aspects of the park grounds, for an 'owner only' Holiday Park which is currently undergoing further development.
The park currently contains 90 caravan pitches and work is starting to accommodate up to 42 additional luxury lodges on an adjacent site.
You will report to the Park Director and work closely with them, ensuring that the Park is maintained to a high standard and is a safe environment for all.
The role will include accommodation in a three bedroom house on the Caravan Park.Main responsibilities & Duties
- Moving caravans
- Completing risk assessments
- Getting pitches ready for siting caravans
- Delivery and installing gas bottles on to caravans for our owners
- Grass cutting and strimming
- General maintenance including some ground works, paving etc.
- Provide cover for the Park Manager on days off and holidays
- Some light administrative duties
- Out of hours emergency contact for the caravan and lodge owners and let lodges
Requirements:
- Experience using hand / electrical tools, mowers and strimmers.
- Attention to detail and taking pride in your work
- Ability to take ownership of a task and see through to fruition
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience working on holiday parks (desirable but not essential)
- Experience in writing risk assessments (desirable)
- Flexible, reliable and a good timekeeper
- Health and Safety knowledge and experience (desirable)
- Be willing to take on new tasks and learn new skills
- Assist on the wider Whitfield Estate on occasion when required; grounds and buildings maintenance
Qualifications and Skills
Working week
The standard working day for all employees on the Estate is 8.00am - 4.30pm, although additional hours may be required to properly fulfil the duties of the role.
Due to the nature of the holiday park business, the working week will involve working five days in seven, to include weekends and Bank Holidays from time to time (normally during the High Season).
