Job Summary:


KIMS Hospital, Maidstone has a rare and exciting opportunity for a Clinical Coding Assistant to join our busy Finance Team working 15 hours per week on a 12-month fixed term contract.

You will be required to effectively manage the PHIN coding function across the hospital ensuring collation of quality data.

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Assist Clinical Coding Manager in ensuring that all Private Patient Clinical Coding Data is accurately entered onto Compucare.
  • You will be required to utilise some clinical coding knowledge to ensure accuracy (ie Therapeutic Vs Diagnostic procedures)

Person Specification:

  • Some knowledge of the ICD10 and OPCS4 classifications is essential
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to respond to multiple priorities
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
