Senior Business Support Assistant

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles.

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This 18.75hr post will provide administrative support to Youth Health Service & associated programmes.

The hours will be flexible but also needs to meet needs of the service and will include one shift 5:45-9.30pm in a community venue within Glasgow City HSCP.


In order to maintain service delivery, there is a requirement for staff to cross cover A/L for the YHS community venues.

The service provides holistic support to young people.

A key role of the post holder is managing referrals to the service, administering appointment systems, managing waiting lists and enquiries to the service, liaising with the clinical team and collating performance management data.


Experience in the following would be desirable:

Microsoft Office, CHI, EMIS WEB, PIMS, SCI Store, SCI Gateway, Clinical Portal, Care First, SSTS, EESS, FM First etc.

Experience of working with young people is an advantage.

The ability to plan, organise and prioritise work & communicate effectively with stakeholders / young people / families are key skills for this post.

The core team are based in Gartnavel Royal Hospital, however the service is delivered in 9 venues across the city.
