As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a crucial role in the Buying cycle, from attending design meetings and sourcing products to building ranges and advocating for your products in trade meetings.

About the Role:

  • Monitoring daily sales and weekly trade.
  • Presenting trade notes and key actions to the Buying, Merchandising, and Design team.
  • Collaborating closely with the Merchandising team on repeat orders.
  • Communicating with suppliers in a clear and polite manner.
  • Negotiating costs effectively.
  • Assisting the Buyer and Designer with sample briefs and sample deliveries.
  • Researching the market for trends, influencers, and social media movements in the fashion industry.
  • Keeping an eye on competitors' activities and market trends.
  • Managing the critical path with the Trainee Buyer.
  • Reviewing margin and costs.
  • Supporting the Buyer with sign-offs, trade reports, and other administrative tasks.
  • Participating in fit sessions and organizing production samples for photoshoots.
  • Attending supplier meetings when necessary.
