This is a key role which ensures that a Team Manager supports individuals need in relation to Mental Health assessments, ensures that social care is considered, that any preventative measures are put in place prior to a Care Act assessment which ensureseligible needs are considered and appropriate support put in place.
This role also acts as the safeguarding manager as and when directed by the safeguarding team. Mental Health experience is required.
The Single Point of Access (SPA) is the Trust's single route for referrals for adults aged 18 to 65 who are in a mental health crisis.
We work alongside the Out-of-Hours Team to provide crisis support to the people of Sheffield 24 hours a day, seven daysa week.
The Single Point of Access team triage referrals and carry out assessments over the phone or face-to-face, to find out how we can help and then use that information to signpost to a service who can best meet those needs.
