We are embedded within the Neighbourhood Recovery Service (NRS), a multidisciplinary team which was formed out of the former Recovery CMHTs in the borough.

We provide the full range of direct and indirect psychology roles to the NRS. We are also one of the psychological therapy teams offering consultation and accepting referrals from the Neighbourhood Teams.

The post-holder will provide specialist evidence-based psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for people with a range of complex mental health needs, including psychosis and bipolar affective disorder.

The psychology team offer individual, couple/family and group interventions, and we would welcome the post-holder to contribute to our group programme.

The post holder will be committed to supporting the work of the wider psychology service in seeking to provide a high quality, equitable, culturally competent and trauma-informed service.

We would like the post holder to largely be working on site, though there will be scope for some remote working if this is desired.

To provide specialist assessment, formulation and evidence-based intervention for service users under the care of the City and Hackney Neighbourhood Recovery Service and Neighbourhood Teams.

Be involved in quality improvement, service development, evaluation and research.

To develop and support the psychosocial work of other staff through teaching, training, supervision and consultation.

You will need to be self-motivated, clinically up to date with proven experience of undertaking and interventions in secondary care settings.

East London Foundation Trust are pleased to offer the opportunity for a Psychologist to join us in our transforming mental health services in City and Hackney.

The borough was an early-implementer site for the Community Mental Health Transformation of mental health services.

We established eight separate Neighbourhood Teams which are intended to offer a place-based service responsive to local needs More recently a Neighbourhood Recovery Service has been established.

This offers a more intensive multidisciplinary level of mental health care to service users who need a care co-ordinated level of support.

The Neighbourhood Recovery Service works closely with the Neighbourhood Teams, and service users can be stepped up and stepped down from one level of support to another depending on their needs.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve

Our values are:

We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.
