About ISH Venues:

Located at International Students House, a student centre offering accommodation, social, and support services for both resident and non-resident British and international students.

The Venue has eight versatile event spaces, we cater to a diverse range of clients, from charities and local authorities to corporate and international entities.


Role Overview:
As the Operations Team Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of event activities.

From liaising with clients and overseeing technical setups to supervising event porters and maintaining equipment, you'll be instrumental in delivering exceptional service and fostering positive client relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Oversee the setup of meeting rooms and technical equipment, ensuring compliance with client specifications and safety standards.
  • Supervise and support event porters, providing guidance and addressing performance issues as needed.
  • Maintain equipment inventory, identify purchasing needs, and ensure all equipment is wellmaintained and operational.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including preparing signage, creating floor plans, and updating booking systems.
  • Uphold health and safety protocols, conducting regular site walks and reporting any issues to the Operations Supervisor.

Experience Requirements:

  • Previous experience in conference and event coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in operating audiovisual and sound equipment.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and representing the venue with professionalism.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
