Role in our Family

We are looking for a Director of Sales to cover a number of key hotels.

Your role will include but not limited to, building a pipeline of opportunities, local account management, telephone prospecting as well as heading up projects to drive top line revenue for the Splendid hotel portfolio.

Reporting to the Head of Sales you will be provided with learning & development opportunities.

Working in conjunction with the hotels and centralised support teams you will maintain and convert a consistent pipeline of opportunities, be an ambassador of the Splendid Family and be prepared to travel nationally visiting hotels, stakeholders or prospective decision makers.

Position Purpose

  • Plan and execute effective sales activity for the hotels to ensure they deliver consistent and predictable top line results.
Key Responsibilities

  • To be fully accountable and responsible for delivering top line budget for the cluster of hotels.
  • To deliver growth in key market segments in line with the individual hotels budget and pipeline target.
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
  • Take an extremely proactive approach to generate new business for the cluster of hotels and build strong and lasting relationships with existing clients to grow market share.
  • Drive targets for Hotel Heroes or new business lead initiative within all hotels
  • Driving loyalty and repeat business through effective account management.
  • Plan and execute effective sales activities for all hotels within the cluster working to achieve each hotels unique market segmentation.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
  • To work closely with Revenue and Marketing to maximise top line delivery.
  • To maintain strong links with the wider commercial function (Revenue, Channels, Marketing and PR) providing insight into customer, market and competitor activity that drives commercial activity.
  • To ensure compliance with standard practices and optimal use of sales management systems across the division.
  • Represent Splendid Hospitality Group at brand commercial events, putting across SHG's views and expectations for brand lead activity.
  • Actively engage with the brand sales teams and be a brand ambassador for SHG promoting the wider portfolio.
