Position Overview
We are looking for a full-time, versatile, and enthusiastic person, to provide dedicated administrative support in our logistics team.

Based at MOD Abbey Wood, working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week The role will encompass the delivery of wide variety of tasks, with a focus of this role being the deliverance of excellent administrative service.

This is a dual role, supporting our Transport and Mail functions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Travel booking.
  • Scheduling business travel requests and liaising with the customer and drivers.
  • IT equipment management and records keeping.
  • Ensure all associated paperwork is completed and maintained in an orderly and timely manner.
  • Always ensure the physical security of mail in line with current regulations.
  • Ensure the protection of personal information held within the Mail Room.
  • Know and observe all necessary security precautions and procedures when handling mail, including recognition of, and response to, receipt of suspect mail.
  • Control the receipt of parcels, packets and letters from Royal Mail and commercial couriers.
  • Sort and distribute mail accurately within stipulated timescales, notifying individuals of items for collection, ensuring signatures of receipt are obtained when necessary.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in full compliance with current Health and Safety Regulations and the General Data Protection Regulations.
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as required; this could include cover for other Mitie team members and other building management and access control duties.
  • Operate in a friendly manner and actively promote a safe working culture and adhere to the Health and Safety procedures, processes, and the law.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good customer facing skills and the ability to develop close working relationships
