FULL TIME FUNERAL/WORKSHOP OPERATIVE
A local, family owned, funeral directors have a vacancy for a funeral/workshop operative.


We seek a suitable person of smart appearance, with the ability to follow instructions and with a willingness to learn.


The need to be discreet and tactful is of utmost importance as you will be representing the company and you will encounter bereaved persons, clergy, hospital, crematorium and cemetery staff etc.


Duties include, but are not limited to, cleaning all company vehicles, furnishing coffins, conveyance and preparation of deceased persons, driving ceremonial vehicles, pall bearing and general workshop tasks.

A clean full driving licence is essential.

Participation on the out of hours on-call duty rota is also required, which is currently one week in four.

Please note, due to the nature of the role, the ability to undertake manual handling tasks is essential.

Salary:
£27,000 plus regular overtime.
