Facility Coordinator
Community Little Hulton is seeking a Facility Coordinator to join our team in our Little Hulton location.

Main purpose of post
To lead on recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to support the delivery of Community Little Hulton Core Business areas.

The Youth Unity youth project

A weekly food and essentials market

Community gifting and giving
-
Activities that support people's health and wellbeing and reduce social isolation.

Two small community hubs at numbers Little Hulton District Centre and Peel Park Little Hulton

Community Events


And to support the day-to-day facilities management of the community hub's operated by Community Little Hulton in the development of a new café area at the extended community hub at the new community hub at Peel Park Pavilion.


Responsibilities

  • To lead on recruiting, inducting, supporting, and training volunteers
  • To develop both individual and team volunteering opportunities to support our core business activities and provide a good quality experience for volunteers.
  • To develop volunteering opportunities and social action projects for our Youth Unity young people
  • To develop and implement volunteer recruitment campaigns that both demonstrate the value of volunteering and attract committed volunteers.
  • To develop links with local businesses to create corporate volunteer opportunities.
  • To ensure effective communication, including the ongoing development of our membership system to maximize our community reach, use of our community hubs and services.
  • To work with the Development Manager and Board of Trustees to ensure we provide safe and welcoming community hubs.
  • To work with the Development Manager and Board of Trustees to secure funding to continue sustain and develop our volunteer programme and our community hubs.
  • To work with the Development Manager to develop a feasibility and options report regarding the new café area at Peel Park Pavilion
  • To complete regular health and safety check across all sites operated or used by Community Little Hulton
  • To work with the Development Manager and Trustees to ensure all statutory testing is up to date on all sites operated by CommUNITY Little Hulton
  • To ensure that an efficient, effective Room booking system is in place at all sites operated by CommUNITY Little Hulton
  • To develop opportunities for volunteers, services users, and the wider community to shape our community Hubs and services.
  • To develop effective partnerships with other community organisations working in Little Hulton
  • Make contributions in the formulation of policies that relate to volunteering and facilities management.
  • To undertake cash handling duties including collection, recording, including volunteer expenses, membership and any other fees and monitor income generation against agreed income targets.
  • To accurately record and collate regular monitoring information as required by CommUNITY Little Hulton

Generic Responsibilities

  • To attend and contribute to regular line management sessions with your designated line manager.
  • To be responsible for the completion of work as set out in an agreed action plan, ensuring targets are met and delivered to timescale.
  • Contribute to a detailed monthly report for the CommUNITY Little Hulton Board
  • To manage own time and workload effectively, whilst also working as part of a team
  • To promote the mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of CommUNITY Little Hulton
  • To fulfil all responsibilities in accordance with CommUNITY Little Hulton's policies and procedures, as set out in the _Terms and Conditions of Employment_ and in related policy documents; and actively implement and promote Community Little Hulton's' Equal Opportunities Policy
  • To undertake any other duties as appropriate to the nature and grading of the post as required by the Trustees.
