The Team and the Role
The Presentation Department are responsible for providing accurate and compliant linear and FAST schedules to Playout.

We use scheduling tools BSS, What's ON and Amagi Planner to share stories that matter across several high-end entertainment channels all over the world.

Without the Presentation Schedulers, there would be no channel to watch


We are looking for an organised and motivated individual with a keen eye for detail to come work with us producing Ofcom, BLM and business compliant daily transmission schedules for our UK and International channels.

Along with the rest of the team, you will be responsible for scheduling all broadcast Presentation elements:
promotions, sponsorship, graphics, continuity announcements and channel branding.

This role will be based in the London office working on exciting, award-winning brands like Sky HISTORY and Crime+Investigation.

Key Responsibilities

Creation of an accurate presentation schedule, to include:

  • Prep
  • Promo plan
  • Warnings
  • Check schedule
  • Monitor scheduling deadlines and complete schedules as per these deadlines.

Ensure a high level of accuracy is met:

  • Check DPL's (Daily Programming List Report) for classifications, matching media IDs for Simulcast.
  • Check BSS/WON for missing media, schedule errors or over running minutage.
  • Check warnings.

Download daily schedules to Transmission:

  • Download by the required time every day.
  • Liaise with TX to confirm successful download.

Maintain templates by channel:

  • Ensure correct templates are attached.
  • Amend templates for commercial minutage issues.

Maintain and develop knowledge of the media plan:

  • Attend the commissioning meeting.
  • Attend the allocation meetings.
  • Monitor available promotions.
  • View promotions.
  • Maintain daily promo usage report.

React to schedule incidents that occur:

  • Monitor information in BSS/WON to ensure it is correct.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to make updates and changes in BSS/WON or at TX.
  • Resolve TX issues.
  • Liaise with media planners to make changes to allocation
