This is a great role for someone who comes from a Construction background and has an understanding and experience in facilitating training and development within the construction industry.

Main duties and responsibilities for this Training Manager role will include:

  • Identify training and development needs through job analysis, performance development and regular consultation with business managers and the HR department.
  • Manage the training department and its employees.
  • Ensure statutory & company training requirements are met e.g. CSCS, NVQ etc.
  • Produce Annual Company Training Plan for all Group companies and business units.
  • Manage the delivery of training & development programmes to include, external & inhouse training courses, elearning & Supply Chain Sustainability School.
  • Collate and monitor all employees training records both electronically and manually.
  • Liaise with the HR department on the recruitment of apprentices to facilitate enrolment on the appropriate courses.
  • Source and approve training providers.
  • Explore funding opportunities (including grants) to support learning and development within the group.
  • Coordinate the performance & development review process.
  • Motivate, coach, encourage, support and provide guidance to staff & operatives.
