National Express is seeking to hire an experienced Controller located in Woods, Leicester. The ideal candidate will manage resources effectively to ensure optimal service delivery, compliance with company procedures, and cost controls. Responsibilities include covering for controller absences, overseeing driver supervision, and handling operational challenges.
What we're looking for:
- Coordinate with Drivers, Sales Team, Engineering, and External customers to meet operational needs through various communication methods.
- Ensure timely communication to staff regarding incidents, accidents, delays, and disruptions.
- Manage breakdowns, accidents, and incidents affecting services, arranging alternative transportation when needed.
- Efficiently allocate drivers and manage fleet movements to maintain operational efficiency.
- Handle driver documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor vehicle checks, defects, and releases.
- Uphold company standards and procedures compliance.
- Collaborate with drivers and departments to address operational challenges.
- Supervise fleet cleanliness.
- Monitor service delivery against schedules using tracking systems.
- Maintain records of holidays, attendance, and other data.
- Administer time sheets and payroll.
- Manage lost property and ensure safe return of items.
- Provide handover reports at the end of shifts.
What you'll be doing:
