We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Control Surveyor to join our team at Capita. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering all aspects of building control functions, including pre-application meetings, plan checking, site inspections, and certification.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver building control functions, including pre-application meetings, plan checking, site inspections, and certification.
- Upsell our specialist services and liaise with other partner agencies and authorities.
- Work on exciting and challenging projects, ranging from residential extensions to large-scale developments.
- Administer all forms and levels of building regulation applications.
- Undertake all duties in accordance with the building control quality management system and building control performance standards policy adopted.
- Have good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience in building control inspection, general building surveying, design, project management or other similar specialist services, ideally within a local government authority or building control body.
- Knowledge of current building control legislation, associated guidance and issues relevant to the post and be a practical problem solver.
- Ability to administer all forms and levels of building regulation applications.
- Knowledge and understanding of operating building control software systems.
- Ability to undertake all duties in accordance with the building control quality management system and building control performance standards policy adopted.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
